Will Seidel, Sports Editor The Emory & Henry Wasps’ baseball team had a disappointing outcome to their first midweek game of the year against Maryville College on Tuesday. The Wasps lost to the Scots 4-0 and only had 4 hits all game in their first game in over a week because of the weekend series being rained out against Fredonia.

The Wasps came in the ODAC tournament as the #7 seed. E&H faced #2 seed Guilford College.
Luke Montalbano, Sports Writer New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was charged this week with two counts of soliciting prostitution. The charges come after a month-long investigation with multiple massage parlors in Jupiter, Florida. He visited the Orchards Asian Spa on Jan. 20, the same day of the AFC championship game between the Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. Kraft is one of 25 men charged with this. There is video evidence of the offenses, but Jupiter Police Department has not yet released it to the media.

The Wasps traveled to Maryville, Tennessee to take on the Scots of Maryville College for a double header on Tuesday. Emory & Henry entered the contests 3-2 while the Scots were 1-1.

The Wasps entered the series with a 1-2 record and looking to improve. The format of the weekend series included a Friday game and a Saturday double-header.
Will Seidel, Sports Editor The Emory & Henry men’s and women’s swimming team competed in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships this past weekend. The women’s finished fifth out of 11 teams competing and the men’s finished sixth out of ten teams competing.
