Elysia Moreta, Guest Contributor This past week, the Emory & Henry College Organic Garden worked in partnership with the E&H Greenhouse to get a head start on seedlings for the spring. Three trays of three different varieties of peppers were planted on Feb. 10, because according to the Biodynamic Calendar, this is a Fruit Day. Planting in the greenhouse allows the garden to save money, as the college will not need to purchase seedlings from another source. Peppers take a long time to bear fruit, and the “mini atmosphere” of the E&H greenhouse gives plants a head start for the upcoming season!
